What is Gantry?

Gantry is an open-source platform for shared robotics development state, evidence, and decisions. It connects software and hardware work so agents can act from a common record. It has two independent service entry points: Gantry Ledger and Gantry Crew.

What does Gantry Ledger make possible?

Ledger helps a team continue development without losing the reasons behind its choices. It keeps versions, changes, evidence, and decisions together. Its review capability uses that record to assess a submitted change and suggest corrections or next steps. Your team and existing agents keep directing the work.

What does Gantry Crew make possible?

Crew lets you delegate a goal to a persistent team of Bots. Within the scope you approve, they plan, discuss, test, and revise work. Roles and responsibilities help the team divide a larger problem, compare candidates, and bring results together. You can delegate progress instead of directing every individual step.

How do Bots become better suited to a project?

Bots keep role-specific experience, corrections, and outcomes. They can use that record in later work, so they do not have to start from an empty context each time. This is recorded experience used by your agent runtime; it does not mean that Gantry automatically retrains the underlying model.

Do you need both services?

No. Choose Ledger when you want to lead development with recorded context and review. Choose Crew when you want to delegate development to an agent team. They share a foundation, but Crew does not require a Ledger Mentor review step to make its own technical decisions.

How do you start?

Start with your own project and coding agent. Use the setup prompt on the home page to choose a service and prepare a scoped connection. Review the proposed access, tools, and runtime before activation. The GitHub documentation is the reference for installation and current behavior.
